    Fun with MF images 2025

Another one from Scotland June 2025. This is taken with a rare lens that I bought a long time ago and unfortunately sold 10 years ago. Now it is back in my backpack. The Voigländer Apo-Lanthar 180mm F4 SL. It is such a small and lightweight tele lens, not too unbalanced on a 907X and perfekt for...

Modifying a Flexbody for large format lenses

With the V Mount still in place, wide angle lenses such as the SK47XL, are not possible. In addition, there is still bulk and weight. A Rodi with 60mm barrel diameter wouldn‘t fit either. The tilt mechanism on my Flexbody is rather stiff, so no fear of unwanted movement.

Modifying a Flexbody for large format lenses

Hasselblad's Flexbody for V lenses was never a big hit. It was too cumbersome to use. It is bulky, heavy and not well suited for use in the field. My idea was to remove the V mount and to install a lens plate for Copal 0 lenses. I found a disk with 65mm thread that fits Copal 0 lenses and also...

I have been a passive visitor for a while. It's time to show some work from my visit to Scotland. This picture is taken with a modified Hasselblad Flexbody to fit a SK Apo-Digitar 5.6/47 XL and CFV II 50C back. Ballachulish, Scotland by Klaus Hornig, auf Flickr

    Hasselblad Composer Tool

Thanks, that looks great. I had written a little Automator quick action/shortcut, but that is much nicer. Good job!

MF Gear for Antarctica and Patagonia Trip

Most of the wildlife picture were taken on land. Sometimes it was not possible due to weather conditions or there were too many seals. (Fur seals bite and attack you when you come too close). Then shooting from the Zodiac was the only possible way. Landscape pictures were mostly taken from the...

MF Gear for Antarctica and Patagonia Trip

Two years ago I was on a Hurtigrouten Expedition ship for four weeks in Antarctica, South Georgia and the Falkland Islands. My cameras were Sony A1, A9 II and 907x CFV II 50c. And an iPhone! Lenses 4.5-5.6/100-400 GM & TC14, 4/24-105 G, 4/16-35 G and XCD 4/21, 2.5/55V and XCD 3.2/90. I brought a...

More from Ireland. In the drizzle you have the waterfalls all by your own and no tourist climbs over the rocks. 907X CFV II 50c and a lens a really like. XCD 3.5/30 Torc Waterfall by Klaus Hornig, auf Flickr Poulanass Waterfall by Klaus Hornig, auf Flickr

Which XCD lenses would you bring to Venice / Lake Como?

One more vote for the 45p. I was in Venice in 2012 too. I had a Nikon D800E then and most of my picture were taken with a 35mm lens. Venice is a paradise for street photography. In Murano are the beautiful colorful houses, don't miss it. Many pictures from there were taken with a 21mm lens. And...

XCD 21/4 for night sky photography

My combination, 907X, CFV II 50C, XCD 4/21 is not precisely focused at infinity after power on. It is close, but it's a bit off, beyond infinity.. This is also the case with all my other XCDs.
