My apologies for exhuming this thread
It's been a year since I acquired a tech cam and I am still struggling with C1 to the point where all I do is just apply LCC correction, then export to Lightroom for further processing, which is a shame because C1 seems to offer some significant advantages when processing the output files of the IQ4.
I am a very structured kind of person so when I tried learning off of Youtube videos or Capture One's own website tutorials it confused me due a clear lack of structure, the tutorials are meant to be short clips on how to perform certain actions but the problem is that I need guidance which starts with a clear foundation and gradually works its way up to more complex tasks and functions. The only way for me to learn is to understand what is happening, I need to be able to grasp how everything is structured and connected, I hope this is making sense
Some of us are able to just mess around in C1 and discover how everything works over time, by experimentation. But unfortunately I simply don't have the time for this, so efficiency would be key for me.
After a year with the tech cam, I feel like I'm not making the most of the IQ4's output, which is starting to frustrate me: I don't feel like I'm in control of the process at all, not by a long shot. Sometimes I even convert files to black&white because I don't want to deal with how to handle the colors in C1.
My question: does anybody have some solid recommendations for C1 courses? I'd like to stress that it does not have to be free, I will gladly pay for good course material.
Thanks in advance!
