For the first time, I took part in an event of the "Fotocollectief Leuven" ... it was a hike in a forest I know very well, not far away from where I live ... the goal was to shoot the Bluebells while they were still lasting ... wind, hail, rain and cold temperature (it was only 3°C when we started the hike) had made life very hard for the forest and the Bluebells and it shows ...

I did some scouting today for the hike we plan for Saturday ... just looking how nature has survived the horrendous weather we had in the previous weeks ...
Not too bad, apparently ... :)
The orchard of the chateau is even very good looking at the moment ...

On Friday night, aurora was very visible in our country, but I was unaware of it, so I missed it ... the media informed that there was a good chance of having a second night of aurora on Saturday, so I prepared some micro4/3 gear for a shoot ...
Unfortunately, no aurora was visible that night, clear skies, but no aurora :-(
So I just shot this stitched pano with the moon and the very last light after sunset ...

Stay safe,
Rafael

I have absolutely NO idea Bart …..
and I generally have no idea about what’s going on in my photos;
I just go out without any plan, ideas, or theme in mind - and if I see something that amuses me, I snap it 😃.

When I returned to m43rds after a 5 year sojourn with Fuji, I knew that at some point I would crack and acquire a Pana Leica Marco Elmarit 45mm f2.8, for what is the third time in my life. What a super, super lens. Apart from what seem to me are authentic Leica colours and contrast (based on my ownership of both the M-90mm and R-60mm lenses) what staggers me is that a 15 year old lens (it was first released in 2009!) is still a fantastic performer. Second user the lenses are surprisingly expensive and it was only having an aggressively low offer accepted on eBay that persuaded me to go for it right now.
Looking at these photos I think I may have to crack and acquire my all time favourite m43rds lens, the Panasonic 20mmf1.7 ASPH - although I don't know whether to go for the original or MkII version.
