So here's where I'm at. I've been using the literature here - https://docslib.org/doc/6041532/mamiya-645-df-and-leaf-credo-digital-back-users-guide
to try and get the back to sync with the lens. I've tried the camera mode in Normal and RZ67, shutter latency at each setting of which it's presently at zero, and the phase one sync cable plus Lens mod wake-up cable to the lens; all with no image capture by the back. I've also tried each of the lenses to rule out the sync connector. I'm obviously missing something. I was following the manual as though attaching the back to a tech or large format system since I'm using a manual setup and a dumb adapter. Any ideas on what I'm missing?

Leaf Credo 40 - firmware is ver. 4.01.02
This is the sync cable - https://www.photo-digitaltransitions.com/product/long-sync-cable-to-multi-port/
Wak-up Cable - https://www.lensmod.com/product/wake-up-two-shot-cable-converter-adapter-for-pc-sync/
Back adapter -Mamiya RB67 Pro SD HX704

The best way to come to a solution is often to post the question... That seems to trigger new inspiration for finding the solution on one's own. I'm glad you figured it out.
